TO ASSURE INSTRUCTORS HAVE AMPLE TIME TO PREPARE FOR TRAINING.
This course is designed to provide clear instruction on the dangers of H2S
– a hazard you cannot see. H2S will help students identify the physical and
chemical properties, sources, symptoms, and hazards of hydrogen
sulfide (H2S). Students will learn about H2S routes of exposure, as well
as the proper selection, use, and maintenance of personal and respiratory protective
equipment. Students will learn about workplace warnings, practices, and
maintenance procedures to protect personnel from exposure to H2S. H2S
detection and monitoring systems are introduced. Students will also learn
about emergency response procedures, corrective actions, and shutdown
procedures which may be necessary in the event of a H2S emergency. Upon
successful completion of the course, students receive their card. The back of
the card reflects courses successfully completed by the student.
